How Hawaii is leading the switch to renewable energy
Renewable sources of energy will account for 24% of the nation's energy in 2023, more than double what it was a decade ago.

A Native Hawaiian, he was born three years before the overthrow of the Hawaiian Kingdom. He lived to see the territory's admission as a state and became a United States citizen.
